It was a pleasure dealing with Lynne from The Traveller cc. to build our Zambia Victoria Falls & RSA Safari trip.  I had very specific requirements for both myself (keeping Kosher) and my elderly mother, who had broken her ankle. She was great and gave me excellent options to choose from. She also gave me the necessary nudges to book as these places get booked up quickly, so we didn’t miss our opportunities. The bookings had some complexity, but we never had one issue. The partners she works with were equally excellent.  We were checked in by the travel agent so we didn’t have to worry and it made the several flights we took go smoothly. All transfers to the lodges were reliable and great drivers. Lynne was available when there were delays during the journey (on Sunday) and was always very responsive to emails during the planning. 

Over the years I have worked with Lynne Katz on travel arrangements to South Africa. For me, my friends and my staff, working with Lynne on the design and execution of our travel is a must!  This year I traveled with twenty university students to Cape Town, South Africa.  Lynne provided exactly the help we needed to make our visit a success. She has a vast network that includes all types of possibilities. We used Lynne’s help for excursions of all sorts, transportation, housing accommodations, and restaurants. Her portfolio of travel opportunities seems endless! For example, she arranged everything from a fantastic animal safari to a phenomenal fishing adventure around the Cape of Good Hope!  And, importantly for us is that she was able to arrange those visits around the government, business and instructional visits central to the educational purpose for our South African Experience.

I am always impressed with Lynne’s ability to solve any problems that can emerge. For example, we had a bus cancel the evening before one of our important visits. Lynne went to work and solved the problem!  We got the bus we needed, the trip went on as expected, and the visit was a tremendous success.

Lynne gave us very helpful advice throughout the trip that helped us navigate potentially difficult cultural differences. She helped us prepare our students, many of whom had little international travel experience. Her advice about safety was deeply appreciated. Our students were always secure throughout the trip, thanks to Lynne’s helpful direction.

I will ALWAYS go back to Lynne for my travel to South Africa. For me and my university her partnership is essential for a successful South African experience!

My wife and I were referred to Lynne by a friend in Melbourne, Australia. We are SO glad that happened, because we found Lynne to be such an efficient and competent travel agent. Locals Know
It was so very reassuring to have the guidance of Lynne Katz as the local expert to plan our family trip to South Africa all the way from Canada.

She was pivotal in making some of the biggest decisions we needed to make. Where to stay, what safari, how long in each town, car rentals, airport transfers etc.

All items were organized clearly in a draft itinerary with prices. Payment was organized clearly and we just had to transfer a deposit and then final payment on a prearranged date.
All choices were really nice and we felt safe. Lynne even took time out of her own overseas holiday to make an emergency rebooking when our original safari lodge tragically burned down.

The car rental which Lynne arranged….everything was ready when we collected the vehicle on arrival at Cape Town International Airport ……..no problems as any queries Lynne sorted out!

Garden Route accommodation – very nice, quiet, clean comfortable rooms. A great sleep! Monkeys to welcome us for a morning coffee on our balcony overlooking golf course. Good hot breakfast.

Game Reserve – Fantastic accommodations, felt safe to leave our two teenage boys in the next cabin separate from us. Staff wonderful, friendly, helpful. Food absolutley yummy every day no fail. Ranger “Teacher” was great. We saw 4 of 5 big 5. Couldn’t find that leopard! Felt safe in their driving and trusted them with how close we got to animals. The park is doing a lot of tree clearing to rid the land of trees not native to South Africa. Did not affect our enjoyment whatsoever. Would totally go again.

Flights to Joburg – a delightful surprise to find that Lynne had sorted out our boarding passes and emailed them to us in good time so we could get through the airport swiftly.

Shuttle to guesthouse in Johannesburg (Derrick) – all prearranged by Lynne, we found our driver easily and he got us to the guest house and also back to airport.

Guesthouse B&B – located in Melville area we were happy to find it a safe and interesting artsy area. Good restaurants nearby. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and helpful to guide us around. Staff top notch. Breakfast very good. Drinks available in main kitchen on an honorary system. Nice since they had a supply of wonderful red wine we could just grab and sit by pool and put it on our tab. We had a late flight and they let us stay longer to just relax since nobody was in our room that next night. Food wonderful everywhere this trip.
